Children and youth friendly Kunda

Since the year 2004 Kunda carries the title of a children and youth friendly town. The title was given to Kunda by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Estonian National Committee for taking part in an European towns’ movement. 22 European countries have joined in the past 4 years with the “Child Friendly Cities” movement started by UNICEF. The purpose of the movement is to highlight and compliment the towns where they truly care about their small citizens and their future. More about the Child Friendly Cities see the UNICEF’s webpage.
